You would think Pres. Monson would have spoken at this "historic" and inaugural meeting. But he didn't. Further, at the end of meeting he was escorted by what appeared to be security personnel and his daughter. I wonder if his capacities are now diminished to the point that he won't be able to speak this coming weekend and GC?

Here is a link to the conference. Go the last few minutes and you'll see Pres. Monson being escorted out. It's the first time I have seen a GA escorted out of a major meeting by security in this way.

Maybe he's too old and ready to kick the bucket!!?? We'll just have to see if he speaks at Conf this weekend.

Or maybe they were afraid of someone getting in and causing trouble???

The CULT puppeteers are probably worried he'll say something incriminating.

Either that, or they were worried that he would claim he got the revelation to allow women to receive the priesthood.

Henry looked better than I have seen him in months. Monson has his escort close by.

Monson does not look good. He looks like he should be at home.

I had to laugh that they put all those women in the choir in purple. That's the code color to wear to conference to show support of OW.

Pres Monson does not keep well. He has from what I have read, type 2 diabetes and all the problems that come with it. I believe his circulation is not good and he has nasty leg/foot ulcers.There is a higher than average connection with vascular dementia in poorly controlled diabetes, so who knows…he is getting on.

The way he was walking when they showed him shaking hands reminded me a lot of how my grandfather moved when he was getting bad with dimentia. Simple tasks like walking and greeting people have to become rehearsed and guarded routines. If Monson's physical and mental health are failing, I take no pleasure in watching his decline. I watched dimentia take my grandfather from us...no one deserves that kind of torture.

I've noticed when Monson was leaving the stage he started to lean over the rail and start his crazy two-handed crowd wave (that he tends to do recently whenever in front of a crowd).

The camera immediately cut away to a large audience view as his handler walked up right beside him to quickly 'escort' him to the door.

I think they are terrified he might do an ear-wiggle, a 'raise the roof' motion or possibly a fist-pump and and embarrass himself.

Probably like any great star performer, he is saving his voice for the grand finale. Why waste his breath on a matinee of females.

Because the women folk are not imprortant enough.

I guess it depends on how you describe "unusual." Starting at about 1:22:20 the guy with the earpiece who doesn't shake any hands walks across the stage from the left. If you look closely, it looks like he pulls/helps Tommy up out of his seat. My guess is that he is there to catch Tommy if he loses his balance and falls. As they approach the women, he has his hand up right behind Tommy's back like he is expecting Tommy to fall, but when he sees he more or less has his balance, he puts his hand doen.
