...on being a good, honest and decent individual.

This used to drive me crazy that somehow in the eyes of TBM's that the only way an already good person could finally "legitimize" that "goodness" was by becoming a Mormon.

What unbelievable arrogance and ignorance TBM's have about the world and the people around them.

They honestly have no idea that being a Mormon is actually a downgrade from the reality of living an authentic life.

I HAD to leave Mormonism because i could no longer continue to lower my innate personal high standards to remain a Mormon.

Or so it seems to me...

Before I understood what they meant, I was confused. I thought mormons were all supposed to avoid alcohol, so wouldn't they all be dry?

When I was "corrected" and told it meant I was unbaptized, I "corrected" them and informed them that, yes, actually, I was baptized. Knowing (condescending) smiles and nods all around. Yeah, it's arrogant.
