Go up to Park City and have some fun there. They have tours of the Silver Mine (I hope they still do)>

Red Iguana is a local Mexican restaurant, known for serving authentic moles.

The Utah Museum of Contemporary Art (UMOCA) is hosting several art shows, one of which by Trent Harris, a local film maker, that is worth a trip.

This coming week, Ballet West is showing the Rite of Spring, which I desperately want to see.

Broadway Cinemas is a local art film house always showing something interesting. The Copper Onion is right next door.

Gilgal Garden is very unique and deserves more attention than it gets, although that is part of the charm.

Our outdoor spaces can be stunning, Red Butte garden is blooming now, Walking through Memory Grove along the creek is pretty, Ensign Peak hike is short, steep, and sweet.

Alpine Slide by Park City

Indoor skydiving/surfing in Ogden (Salomon Center)

Snorkel with sharks at Seabase by Grantsville

A more boring option would be the new Living Planet Aquarium in the south valley.

Good lick.

Dinner at Sapa 7th South and State. Outside is a several hundred year old courtyard house brought in from Vietnam.

I know you want to avoid the temple, but laughing at and mocking Space Jesus is a fun way to pass time.

Tons of inviting shops, bars and restaurants in Park City. Restaurants up the canyons (Log Haven Sunday brunch, Ruth's Diner for dinner) can be nice too. I bet there is still spring skiing, as well...

There are meet-ups today (visiting as well). Good suggestions above. The Tavernacle isn't open until 8 pm this evening: karaoke. There are a few decent brew pubs and bars open today. Give me a shout if you would care to join. We will go out for a few this afternoon (as this vacation wraps up). Also try Squatters! Epic! (for tasting) and the Beerhive is good (selection, atmosphere, if anyone is there); thought about Red Rock, if time. Hmu if wanting to have a drink with a fellow good ex-mo.

Swingers? There are plenty of Mormon swingers in Salt Lake and Utah County. "dating empty nesters" and "fun date" definitely sounds like euphemisms for swingers. Swingular is a great website for hooking up. Also, Habit's on 3900 S. is the hookup place on Saturday nights.

Turn it into a scavenger hunt.

Keep track of historical inaccuracies when going through temple square, beehive hut, Lyin house.

Maybe even make up some bingo cards, when you hit a bingo, you have to stop for a drink. You have to create your own fun.

If it's an early date, try going antiquing. It gives you guys something to talk about and you get to know each other and in theory it's free.

The DUP museum by the Capitol is ok, because they're not selling TSCC necessarily.
