Actually, the only part of that statement I take issue with is "not the sharpest tool in the shed." In my experience, pitties and pittie mixes have been some of the smartest dogs I've ever worked with. I am biased, as I have a 70-pound cuddle baby who is sharp as a tack.
But they are very high-energy dogs and need something to do, like a workout or a job. They were bred for bull-baiting in the 19th century; they aren't really meant to be lapdogs. You've got to get out there and work 'em, give 'em a job, just take them running.
Anyway, I went to that link, saw all the dogs, got something in my eye and dammit. Now I have puppy fever. I'm off to Petfinder to see if we can't find another pittie to rescue and love and spoil completely rotten. ;>)
