They seem to really be pushing to capture escapees and bring them down again, possibly as a way to remove some of the "anti" element on the internet who are usually insiders or exmos.

Surely they can't really believe it's easier to recapture those who have found the truth than it is to suck in some tired solo mother or troubled teen.

The cult does nothing for the target. They don't care at all for those who escaped, they just want those with the knowledge that can harm them to shut up.
