What is the difference between a priest and high priest? Do they go to the same meetings. Does elders quorum have something to do with this? Who decides about moving some one up to high priest, when does it happen? I would appreciate any info on this. :)

Aaronic (Lesser or Preparatory) Priesthood:
Deacon: Male age 12-13
Teacher: Male age 14-15
Priest: Male age 16-17

Melchizedek (Greater) Priesthood:
Elder: Male min age 18. Think "Missionaries". There are men who return from missions and stay elders the rest of their lives.
High Priest: Male, usually ordained when the calling requires i.e. a member of the Bishopric, a High Councilman, basically any "higher" administrative calling.

What is the difference between a priest and a high priest?

I'm guessing about three or four cocktails.
