Sunstone symposium, John Larsen debate has anyone been?

I saw they are hosting a debate between John Larsen of Mormon expressions, and Jared Anderson. I have met John before, and attended and listened to his podcast, and I do enjoy his wit and I think it would be entertaining. But I have never been to a sunstone event. Has anyone here been, and what was your take on it.
Also, in the interest of full disclosure my nephew who is in film school did the introduction on their video, which is why I started thinking about it. I always thought of sunstone as something of an apologetic organization.
