I want to include my membership number on my letter of resignation, but can't find the number.

I did find an expired temple recommend from 5 years ago with a 'Record number' formatted as 000-xxxx-xxxx. Is that my membership number?

It is on your tithing settlement receipts given at the end of the year. I think it is also listed online in the stake/ward directories under your name...at least ours were listed until we resigned.

Thanks, Iris but my tithing receipts are buried in storage and I'm blocked from online access to church records! I'll use the number Crathes just verified was correct (from my temple recommend) and hope for the best!

There are other identifying bits of info I'm not willing to give the church (such as my current street address) so my member number is important for verification.
