I don't know that I've sensed a class structure here, but if I am an "intellectual" apostate, I feel like the term is very misleading. I am often jealous of the jack-mormon apostates because they were smart enough to not believe this crap in the first place. Leaving is always hard due to family pressure etc., but I wasted years of my life as a believer.

I haven't read the entire previous thread so maybe this has been said before.

I don't think it's a matter of honourable versus not honourable but of wanting/needing to talk about it or not.

People who "just go inactive" will all have their own reasons, they just don't talk about them as much as we do here.

I also wish I had connected the dots sooner. However, I do still have half my life ahead of me (hopefully) so let's try and make the most of it.
