Should we just hand out blue ribbons to every religion regardless of whether they cut the mustard? Should a religion have to prove its worth in order to be recognized? Or is it enough just to show up?
Mormons I know are big on complaining about kids getting a blue ribbon just for showing up. How about mormonism? Should it be sent home a loser?
God help us if the day ever comes that we assemble a group of "enlightened" individuals who will tell us which religions are or are not worthy of existing.
One of the great things about America is that we value freedom so highly, that we are willing to grant it to those organizations and individuals that we disdain.
