Where are the old lds friends now?

It has been decades but ran into an old friend/aquintance from BYU. When Dallin Oaks was made president of the place he had a T-shirt made that said DALLIN SUCKS TURTLE EGGS. He wore it on campus a number of times and was never told to take it off and no one said a thing. No one in our dorms either.

He is out of the church now. Mission and then military had him pretty down on mormonism in the early 70's but apparently he stayed in for family solidarity. Finally couldn't take the lies any longer and resigned - along with his wife and kids.

Was it all because of his T-shirt?

How many here have old friends you haven't seen in a long time and find out they are inactive/no longer members?

I have a few friends who have who left the faith.

Including one who left Catholicism. But most kept the religion they were born into.
