ESPN is going to be showing the game this Friday night. They are going to have a reporter coming through the parking lot and interviewing people at tailgates to show throughout the game. I just got an email from Boise State's athletic director saying that he was going to send them to our tailgate if he can.

What I need are some good ideas for background signs at our tailgate and some to hold up in the stands. Something subtle but will come across to people who see it. I was thinking something like:

BYU Football - Even more legit than the Book of Abraham

or

Taysom Hill likes to visit www.cesletter.com

Or something like that. Any good ideas?

How about:

"BYU: Proudly excluding blacks and shock-treating gays for 140 years!"

??

I was hoping for something a little more subtle...

BYU Cougars...home of former President Dodo.

BYU at Univ of Utah, Utah was winning by several scores, and someone held up a sign that said "BYU- Where is your God now?"

Since they lost to USU and recently to Nevada at home, the best signs will probably appear among the thin attendance at their next home game.

For Boise you could have a sign that says something clever that points out they would currently be in last place in the MWC if they had not abandoned the conference for independence.

Or how about this because their fans always have expectations for a return to Lavell Edwards status...

Meh, I think either of the two you put in the OP are pretty off-center for non-mo's and would just garner a roll of the eyes from mo's. That isn't really the venue to be an effective detractor of the church. I'd say something football related like:

Nevermind about Bama, we just want Boise St. now

(Referring to "WE WANT BAMA" signs BYU fans were putting up earlier in the season)

or

You consider BYU a rival too, right Boise St.?

(referring to one of the BYU players comment about considering Boise St. a rival)

I dunno, those aren't the best but could get ideas flowing. :)

We don't really consider byu a rival. We haven't been playing each other that long. Just a more intriguing game than Colorado state. I just want to beat them because my family is full or byu fans and it makes them feel bad when they lose to us.

They're a bottom middle MWC team at best this year. AND they want nothing to do,with Bama this year or any year.

Simply "Hey BYU, Check out www.cesletter.com" along with a few signs supporting Boise State. Not so obviously about Mormonism but a few fans might check it out of curiosity.

I think a simple "CES Letter" would be enough. Simple, intriguing, lots of hits when you google it...

In the stadium itself, I think a sign that said "Mountain Massacre" could go either way and really tweak the Mormons.
