So Joseph practiced Polygamy because God commanded it by threatening JS with his life through an Angel wielding a sword. Joseph complied to God's command. By complying didn't this mean God was now bound to protect JS? In the end, it was Polygamy that cost him is life. What a conundrum God created......I mean JS created!

"The Nauvoo Expositor was a newspaper in Nauvoo, Illinois that published only one issue, which was dated June 7, 1844. Its publication set off a chain of events that led to the death of Latter Day Saint movement Prophet Joseph Smith, Jr..

The Expositor was founded by several seceders from Nauvoo church and was critical of Smith and LDS leadership. They espoused a belief in Mormonism, but criticized Smith for doctrines like plural marriage, and exaltation."

Someone pointed out that in the end, Joseph was the one who was destroyed, and Emma wasn't. Ironic, huh?

However, the TBMs like to shout "persecution!".
