Would society accept

If organizations such as the Ku Klux Klan, Westboro Baptist, or American Nazi Party simply started to use the line

"I don't know that we teach that"?

Somehow all past deeds forgotten by simply stating that?

And if so, would it always be a trump card to use in church court or difficult family conversations?
