Eternal, Unchanging Doctrine

50 years ago, if a member of the LDS church had published the contents of the current essays in a book, that person would have been excommunicated. Back then, McConkie’s “Mormon Doctrine” was warmly embraced by most TBMs.

If “Mormon Doctrine” had never existed, and a member were to publish that book today, that person’s membership would certainly be in jeopardy.

Mo 'doctrine' is more like the tide, an eclipse, or perhaps Haley's Comet than 'eternal, unchanging'.
