As a reward for his ever diligent and faithful support of all things Mormon Kirby's bishopric has extended a calling to Brother Kirby to work in the nursery.

Kirby takes it all in stride, and in typical Kirbyesque fashion speaks the greater truths:

"I agreed to go into the nursery for entirely selfish reasons. The screaming tantrums, the petty bickering, the clueless drooling and occasional diaper blow out are all more intellectually stimulating than Sunday school and High Priest Group."

Sweet. He's right. Sometimes just as many high priests as babies are having diaper blow-outs.

At least in nursery they aren't afraid to say what they think is true.

Appreciate your posting the site.

And, as always seems to be the case, Kirby is hilarious. His creative writing usually manages to make us humans stop and smell the roses as well as point out a few truths in this here life.

I so agree that the Rosecrest 1st Nursery will have a ball with him present.

I can't help wonder if this isn't a calling Kirby's bishop/SP, ha ha, really the elite in the glass house, came up with to keep Kirby's honesty and observations concerning Mormonism in his ward in check.

But if that is the case, it won't work. You can't keep a good, honest man down.

His calling has always been that of a shadow boxer...... considering he could damn well flatten any Morgbot with one serious sucker punch.

He has learned the arcane secrets of mormystyle that enable him to threaten the core of the stout hearted believer and then pull his punches in the final round.

Go get em Kirby!

And in case you hadn't noticed, he wants a better world for his children so we see the calling was prolly a no-brainer.

Suffer NOT the little children.

Wish I was a tender tyke in his nursery.

I'm going to laugh when, in 3-4 years, all those nursery kids get up in F&TM to bear their testiphonies, and they all start off with, "Well, Kirby taught us the church was a pile of doo-doo, so..."

:)

Oh how I agree with Kirby. At least in the nursery he won't have to listen to all the speculative doctrine and history being presented as fact.

Bring lot's of fruit loops Kirby and you'll be making lot's of little ones happy.
