The best consequence is this will lead to "bleeding", that is, reduced and stagnant conversion rate and may even prompt some questioning to formally resign or become inactive.
The worst outcome relating to the above will be increased depression among the demoralized young male and female missionaries who fail to convert and may come home in low morale and defeated, leading to the myriad of mental health crises that could parlay to suicide due to damaged esteem and other factors.
The Mormon cult is self-sabotaging by revealing a little bit too much what we've known all along since Joseph Smith Jr and his mob destroyed The Nauvoo Expositor that purportedly exposed his dirty deeds.
The best we can hope for is for the Mormon cult to continue sabotaging itself to eventual dissolution over the next few decades with stagnated conversion rate and members dying off slowly except for TBM descendants reproducing until they are as rare as fundamentalist Mormon splinter cults.
