http://theovereducatedhousewife.blogspot.com/2014/11/a-review-of-way-below-angels-by-craig.html

Craig Harline teaches European history at BYU and this book is about his experiences as a Mormon missionary in Belgium. Belgium happens to be one of my favorite countries, so I was happy to read about his time trying to woo that beer loving culture to Mormonism. I enjoyed this book and will now put it on my list of "exmormon lit". For those who are interested, here's a link to the second part of my "exMormon lit" list. You can find a link to the first part on that page.

On another note, hope everyone is enjoying the holiday. So far, things are going okay where I am. Today is my dad's memorial. We will bury his ashes this morning and then we'll go to church, where I will sing and hopefully not mess up.

Happy belated Thanksgiving!

Nice review Knothead

I accidentally misread the title line as "Way below the hairline" by Craig Angel...

Looks like a good book. I will get it.

His wife, Paula, is also an author. She wrote 'The Polygamous Wives Writing Club: From the Diaries of Mormon Pioneer Women'

It is a wonderful book.

I'd like to recommend Harline's earlier book _Conversions: Two Family Stories from the Reformation and Modern America_. It's a comparative look at two people--a Reformation-era Flemish Protestant and a modern American Mormon--leaving their religions. very well written and thought provoking.

Thanks for the suggestion. I find some of my best reading right here on RfM.

If you mess up the singing everyone will understand the reason.

It actually went off without a hitch. In fact, the memorial was really nice.
