Mount Meadows Massacre, Aiken Massacre, and now the Gunnison Massacre, all carried out by Mormons against people whose only "crime" was crossing through Utah.

Brigham Young really was out of control, and the government had the right to try and hang him and every member of the big 15, had they been able to pull it off.

By the way, putting the details of all the massacres together in a single news article would probably sell a lot of magazines and get a lot of attention if anyone in the media is interested.

Or would make a great piece on Sixty Minutes.

I'm probably going to order it, but I am more curious about the lesser known massacres.

Innocent Blood: Essential Narratives of the Mountain Meadows Massacre.D.L. Bigler and W.Bagley, Ed. 2008

I'm on a waitlist to borrow it from our public library. I hope it doesn't get "lost" before it is my turn. I have noticed this happening before with books that may be seen as anti-mormon by some people.

starring Jon Voight and Terrance Stamp, etc. It's purported to be a good deptiction of what actually happened at the time/site of the MMM. . .
