I wish I could. I used to be. Over time too many theist tried to push their beliefs on me in harmful ways to not care any more.

Apatheism sounds like what I created love those many years ago: Laztheism.

I'm a long time Laztheist, but I am too tired to preach it.

In short, "god" is too big of a catch-all (meaning many different things to many different people) to have any kind of meaningful discussion as to his/her/its existence. If someone wants to know where I stand, it would be very helpful to first clearly articulate what they mean by "god" (characteristics, traits, etc) and then I will tell them whether or not I agree.

That's how I came out. I didn't care at all for a very long time. I only recently changed to atheist, but ultimately, I still don't care that much.

I hope I can eventually settle into apatheism! Being a "New Atheist" is getting tiresome. I've been thinking like Richard Dawkins and Christoper Hitchens for quite a while now.

I have to admit that I've always pretty much been one. I just felt the need to declare it.

I learned right here on this board the name for what I am. I am an excrementalist. It has two meanings:

1: a person that believes shit happens.
2: a person with shit for brains (and I think that applies to everybody at times).

I don't know of any organized meetings of excrementalists and I don't give a shit if there are any.

Cool! I may become an excrementalist too.. Religion to me seems to be all Bull Shit. I guess I am an bovine excrementalist.

I've been out as an apatheist since about six months after leaving the church. Just don't give a sh!t whether there's a god or not.
