There are two young (look like early 20s) females, and they don't look like blood relatives; one is blonde and the other is probably Latina or Filipina-looking. The blonde one gives a backrub to the other.

As I've said to many others (but for other odd criticisms): there is much that is wrong with Mormonism, including culture and practice. But this back rubbing you're talking about isn't one of them.

Now, if you're talking about the creepy way lots of Mormon men shake your hand while putting the other on your shoulder in a "friendly" squeeze and/or subtle massage? THAT is weird and I believe is mostly a Mormon thing.

Hey, who really cares? Plus, is their sexuality any of our business? If one is from a different culture that can explain differing behaviors other than the uptight American norm.

More common with teenagers than 20-somethings, but completely normal. All the girls from my high school did this.

I think you need to grow in your own perspective. Message therapy is mainstream now and there are a lot of practicing amateurs.

Women seem a lot freer to expression platonic affection than men.

I think it is pretty normal for young folks to do this. Maybe this is more of a suburban culture thing than anything else.
