Bednar offers prayer for Utah State legislative session. . .

I suppose this happens elsewhere. But it seems like the LDS Bretheren mingle in politics quite a bit around here. Here we have Bednar, common man as he is with no special powers beyond that of you and I, giving the prayer for the Utah State legislative session. In addition, Todd Christofferson, yet another mere mortal with no special powers beyond that of you and I, front and center during recently deceased, former Speaker of the House Becky Lockhart's tribute at the state capitol.

Don't these mere mortals have more to do than this kind of stuff?
