duty to goD

How do I answer the question of duty to god? I have no idea what that word means, God. I've just entered this realm of scouts. It wants an oath to deitY, or a religious institution. I just don't believe.

Why would I just believe? That wasn't my question. What is the god claim? Lord elohim. Yawhee Allah? Or the one true lorder loki?

"God" is wonderfully vague. Make a top 11 list with yourself at #6, add 1, and roll 2d6. That's better than a 16% chance of Urim&Thumming apotheosis.

The scouts assume you believe in a diety.

However, the phrase "to do my duty to God and my country" is completely open.

If you have no personal God, you have no duty to him.

The believing scout promises he will follow the teachings of his faith. They do no specify any particular diety or religion.

Since you have no religous teachings to follow you are off the hook.

I got my Duty to God reward, right before my 18th birthday, and I can honestly say I never worked a day to try and get it. I just showed up to the meetings, occasionally went to Seminary, and sat through interviews where my Bishop asked me if I touch myself and read the scriptures. Lied in the interview, and got the medal. I still have it somewhere.
