Mormonism is all about slavery, members being slaves to the lie.

Giving the perpetrators (in this case those claiming divinity from God and authority from God), authority, power and money in their everyday lives. Effectively enslaving members with invisible chains they can control and affect how their slaves spend their time, how they spend their money, what they think, how they vote and all the while the slaves think they are free.

The beauty part is that the slaves think of their masters as benevolent leaders who are looking after their welfare and are more than willing to sacrifice and defend said leaders in any way.
