I agree. Pastafarianism has a-pasta-sized from the truth. They are ripe for their own 95 Theses on the restaurant door.
I await the Pastina Reformation, where I will be free to go from one church to another until I find one that fits, whether it be my outfit or my outlook.
Is that it apparently destroys the brain's ability to tell the difference between parodies and actual religions, resulting in attention-seeking, classroom-disrupting misbehavior.
You can be Pastafarian if you want but do not bring your silly parody of a religion into my classroom by wearing a kitchen utensil and expect me to treat it as a Muslim headscarf or a piece of religious jewelry. Sorry but that is silly. I f I never hear another word about the FSM I will die happy . It may have been funny once but now it is old and stupid.
I have a right to be bored by 7th grade humor just as you have the right to think it is funny. How many threads have we had about the stupid spaghetti strainer? Way to many IMO,but don't let me stop your fun. Carry on
we are equally bored then. I choose to lighten up instead of beating a dead horse though. My daughter goes to a public school in Ogden. She is CONSTANTLY berated, undermined, and harassed by TBM children and teachers. Two of her teachers have talked about pioneers and JS in the classroom completely out of context with a wink, wink, nudge nudge to her TBM students. I could give a f*ck if a TBM is offended at this school. They openly favor TBM students and I can prove it. The OP already addressed the "disruption of the classroom" topic MANY times over and over. My daughter is no troublemaker but I have told her to defend herself when she comes under TBM attack. That is where I'm coming from so we'll just have to agree to disagree and move on.
Probably not, since it is small and probably wouldn't attract attention. If it became a distraction, I would deal with it in an appropriate way depending on what happened and why.A spaghetti. strainer worn as a hat is definitely going t to be a distraction

All religions are make-believe. Oh, and by the way, the "10 commandments" don't say anything about any messiah. Sheesh.

Thanks for making the point that "pastafarianism" was invented to make. Well done.
Please, let's not gang up on wannabe Pastafarians, they will see the light soon enough. We need more Pastafarians and Pirates to curb global warming. It works. Check the website at Venganza.org and look at the chart showing global warming correlated to the Population of Pirates.
Also, Pastafarians are inclined to follow the "Eight I'd Rather You Didn'ts" if they are in the mood.
Wearing religious garb in public places is a personal choice, of course. But, if there are certain people who are repulsed by the traditional headgear of Pastafarinism, I recommend that alternately, Pastafarians can always don their best Piratical Regalia. Who could object to a well outfitted Pirate?
