They want protection of beliefs and ideas? Yet to have those protections that have to take away protections from people?
Speaking of "War" who are they fighting? Why are they fighting? How warlike hymns drive their thoughts and beliefs? It's a little a scary, especially on hymns like "Hope of Israel". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SJw6eIYOoOc
In the Wizard of Oz, Auntie Em claims she cannot tell off Miss Gulch because she is "too good of a Christian".
Today's Christians think it is their duty to tell you off. The Religious Reich has turned Christianity from a religion to improve yourself into one in which you think you need to improve everyone else.
I would agree with the original post if you had included the word "some" or even "many". I would vote for the former. I think there are many Christians who are out there helping people without regard for points in heaven or recognition. They accept people as they are and don't judge--that is, they do if they truly read what Jesus said!
This is blatant stereotyping. Yes,some Christians do this and some are opposed to it. I subscribe to several FB Christian groups who are very much against this kind of discrimination by religious groups.
