times. I saw this often in the temple. What is the hanky for?

I always grew up hearing how inspiring the hosanna shout was supposed to be. I always imagined it as powerful, with a lot of energy in the participants. Those people all look like they are about to collapse from boredom. Also note that none of the "shouting" manages to drown out the old geriatric on the microphone.
