Another stake conference so soon..

So in mid March we had stake conference. My TBM wife received an email stating there will be a special stake conference near the end of April. I was thinking they meant a regional conference, but when I read the email from the bishop, he stated stake conference. Any one else have this happen? Maybe it has to do with the disolving of a ward and branch at the same time.

Yep. One just before GC and one after, either the next week or week after.

I haven't been to church in over 5 years, but during the Prop 8 campaign in California, my former stake (in Orange County) had quite a few "special" stake conferences centered on the proposition.
