I never see other temples, but I have reason to pass by the Los Angeles temple often. In front of it there is a small billboard with a photo of a small Latino family and the words "Will I be with the people I love after this life?"

It is the usual pathetic Mormon fear tactic implying that only if you are Mormon will you see your loved ones again.

I want so badly to write underneath, "Not if you're gay, not if you're catholic, not if you have bare shoulders, not if you don't do exactly as we say. All major credit cards accepted."

But of course, you know, fines and jail and stuff. So I won't.

That jail time is such a bummer. Ruins all our fun.

For some odd reason, Mormons think that they have the exclusive rights to market the idea that “Families are Forever™”.

Most Christians and other Life-After-Death fans might politely disagree.

The Mormon answer to the question "Will I be with the people I love after this life?" is

“Yes. If,

1. You get babtized by Mormons
2. You pay 10% of your income
3. You do these specific temple rituals
4. You are obedient to the Mormon church
5. You accept Joseph Smith, Jr. as your personal lord and savior
6. You never miss church
7. You do all your Home Teaching
8. You never sin
9. You remain humble about the fact that you never sin
10. You promote Mormonism to your non-member friends, family and co-workers
11. Study the scriptchurs

Ziller might be missing a few more.

Also ~ doing the following things can’t hurt and might even help you be with the people you love after this life:

1. Have lots of children
2. Have lots of wives
