Up since 6 to get things done like laundry, putting the chiweenies outside for a few hours, and the pot roast for dinner tonight. This time I'm trying a little rosemary instead of cardomom pods and cloves to give it a different flavour.

After the laundry dries, we're heading up to Durango for a few hours. Love that it's going to stay in the mid 70s today and can enjoy rather than sweat out the day.

I slept in after a busy Saturday, enjoying my coffee and watching the men's final of Wimbeldon. Also, my dad's birthday is tomorrow, so I still have to buy him a gift today.

Heading out the door right now to meet a guy in Palmdale, relating to 'bidness'. Not golf related. <sob>

Probably a movie later. Was going to mow the lawn for all the neighbors to enjoy, but don't feel like it.

I made my first pot of coffee today! I felt so funny buying coffee yesterday - not guilty but wasn't sure what kind to buy because of all the choices now.

The devil hasn't knocked on my door yet! It (the coffee, not the devil) smelled wonderful but didn't taste as good as I remembered before LDS.

I am watching How the West Was Won on INSP TV and hugging one of my foster dogs right now.

Ain't life great?

That's funny. I remember when I bought my first coffee maker at age 45. Despite being mechanically inclined, I had no clue how to make it work. No directions or instructions came with it. Normal people just know how to do this stuff so I guess instructions aren't needed. Anyway, I ended up asking god (google), she ALWAYS knows. :)

Leaving for Colorado. I'll be crossing the border into Utah on Tuesday. I swore i'd never step foot in that state again. Never say never. At least i'm just driving through, not staying.

Still in the oil patch. Doing some major pipeing work at a facility that handles bitumen. Upgrades to handle increased production rate.

I have enjoyed a nice cup of coffee this morning and have spent most of the day so far puttering around on the computer. My sister in law stopped by for a visit after she got out of church. I will probably spend the most of the day on my butt doing nothing.

But this is my birthday weekend, so what better "suit" to celebrate in?

Going to the gym later and I'm gonna watch True Detective. I have yet to see season 1 but I'm watching because McAdams is my celebrity "wife" of a decade.

Nice bike ride by the river -- way too nice a day to sit inside a building listening to mostly men drone on and on.

Sex with wife, our family of 7 went to mountains to pick huckleberries. 1.5 gallons later we are home. Headed to the store to get ingredients for curry. My mission favorite! Wife wore porn shoulder shirt and panties! Everything is awesome!

Trying a Key Lime Pie recipe; first time making one. Went to the grocery store earlier to get some ingredients, and ended up giving a random guy and his wife whose car had broken down when they had just bought milk and ice cream a ride back into town.
