Joseph Smith the Seer?

I just went to the article that will be released in the Ensign for October and noticed the URL

https://www.lds.org/ensign/2015/10/joseph-the-seer?lang=eng

I just found it funny that it has "Joseph the seer?" right in the URL. I honestly cant stop laughing!

Richard E. Turley Jr. (the author of this article) is an idiot. He sold his intellectual integrity and his ability to reason to the Mormon church for a steady paycheck.

His voice is disturbing and he is over the top in love with himself and his educational credentials. When you have to mention all of your accomplishments in every talk it means your message is not very convincing.

Thus... This guy is a perfect selection for one of the next open spots at the big boy table in Salt Lake City.

I took my seer stone and consulted it on this matter.

It insists that the author's real name is "Richard Turdley".

So apparently the good folks at the ensign are trying to make lemonade from the lemons.

It's a nice idea, but elevating a glass looking, treasure hunting, scryer to lofty and holy levels is going to take more than that. You need to start by convincing the rest of the world that glass looking is more than a con man's favorite method of scamming.

The only onces who are going to be convinced are already too busy getting their fortunes told by the lady on the corner.
