Since when did ksl decide SNL wasn't too evil to be shown on their network? Or did NBC force them to show it? I've been out of Utah for a while. It always pissed me off that they didn't show it.

Not sure as I d live in Utah but SNL is currently on hiatus/between seasons. It's probably like most networks not required to show during the off season.

They just didn't show it or other programs they considered evil. I remember seeing some Victoria's Secret Christmas Special or something in the guide and turning it to NBC only to find a church program being shown. Imagine the disappointment! Maybe it was part of GBH's plan to make momos seen less bizarre.

"'This move is part of a broader plan to strengthen KSL Television's program schedule and relationship with our valued network partner [NBC]....'"

In other words, spiritual integrity and hypocrisy aren't an issue for LDS, Inc. when there is money to be gained.

well, after having their ass kicked in so many times, even MORmON leaders can eventually learn a lesson. after all this involves what they really care about - money / revenue !

Love him or hate him, the fact remains that the MORmON broadcasting empire turned their MORmON nose up at conservative upstart Rush Limbaugh as they labeled him too political for "their" "Utah (MORmON)" target audience/ market, so a competing Utah broadcasting enterprise picked up Limbaugh to broadcast to the ultra conservative "Utah" audience and LD$ Inc lost out big time in the talk radio ratings battle. KSL has been trying to play catch up ever since on that epic business blunder, even though divinely guided LD$ Inc never makes mistakes.

That was just ONE of very many painful recent chapters/ lessons for LDS Inc relative to learning how to deal with the media.

LD$ Inc. has burned a lot of media bridges, when they finally almost did not have any left they started to get a little more cautious about how they operated.
