If they now know the processes and mechanisms for receiving revelation why haven't any other "prophets" used it? B.Y. and the rest obviously thought it was a Holy Relic or a Sacred Stone; much like the Ark of the Covenant, Saint's Relics, Holy Grail. These supposed Holy items were used many times for revelations, healings, winning battles, etc...

Why wasn't Oliver Cowdrey's divining stick saved also? I mean we assume the breast plate, Laban's sword, Liahona, Urim & Thummin glasses were all hidden away again. Yet we have/had other mystical/Holy items that could still be used by those worthy, right???

Offering a few reasons:

3. The fact that there is a Mormon Church Mall to market replicas of this sacred device made this the right time to bring it out of mothballs. Soon there will be another church news conference in front of this magnificent morg edifice with Tommy standing in front of a huge Peepstone Replica telling all to get out there Now! and "Go Shopping."

4. Now is the time for the rock to come forth as it is needed to knock some sense into any "thinking" Mormons by hurling said rock at their heads. Should stop the next drove of apostates from escaping on the high road.

I wish Grant Palmer would write an op-ed about it. He spoke at an Exmo conference about seeing the magic rocks. I'm glad he has seen the day when they have to dust it off for show and tell (to avoid lawsuits).
