the implications of church reliance on Leader inspiration/discernment?

Doesn't this suggest the gullibility of the followers?

Doesn't this suggest that followers are robot-like or incapable of making good decisions on their own?

I think Mormonism either Depends or strongly suggests a near-zero capacity for independent, good decisions/actions of the participants.
