This woman should be fired for failing to do her job.
PS - No Christian is diminished in their faith by doing their job or providing a service to someone they don't agree with or like based on the other person's faith or sexuality. That's how Christians (like the Mormons) justified racism until 1978.

County clerk is an elected position, so she cannot simply be fired. Of course, she is still subject to recall and legal sanctions.

She's in the wrong business, obviously. But county clerk is one of those coosh, sweet, government jobs people stay in for life. (wish I could get one of those gigs)
She's got sweet job alright. With unemployment so high in this nation, I'm sure many of the unemployed would just love earning 80K a year!!

As a Kentuckian myself, (Former Utah Countian for 45 years,) I need to remind you-all that Kentucky has 120 counties. Rowan County is deep in the Appalachians and not really representative. This broad is obviously a fundie baptist. She'll get what's coming to her in the form of federal court sanctions. I just hope she doesn't get crowd-funded to the tune of several hundred thousand dollars by Christian morons. In fact, maybe she's smarter than we give her credit for! The homophobic cake bakers really cashed out.
