Yea, Genocidal God is attacking again. Planet needs less than a century to get rid of these idiots who play into people's fear.
End is not coming through God's Hand, never did, a mindless Asteroid can do a better job .

And what about the tsunami that killed 230,000? If I'm doing the math right, 230,000 is greater than 9,000, so that would mean that the end was closer in 2004. The more people that God kills, the closer the end is. Just you wait until he kills a billion at once! He'll be right around the corner, but we have some time obviously until that actually happens, judging by how much time it takes for the body toll to accrue to ever higher numbers. He's rolling up his sleeves though.

... (hrrrummph -- clearing my throat) ....

Nearer, my God, to Thee, nearer to Thee!

Though like the wanderer, the sun gone down,
Darkness be over me, my rest a stone;
Yet in my dreams I'd be nearer, my God, to Thee,

I finally get that song -- the "NEARER" god is the more "Darkness be over me" LOL

You've summed it up well. When the Lard gets near expect even bigger disasters, more deaths, darker days.

Yep, that's the god of the scriptures alright, but why did it take me so long to see?!?!? LOL

Yes, it might mean that. And then again, it might not.

Martin Luther, the not unknown reformator, was once asked what he would do if he was told that the end would come tomorrow. -I'd plant an apple tree, he answered.

I recall being handed one of those comic book style pamphlets (probably JW) back in the mid-'70's that talked about the end being near, and one example it went into detail about was a reference in revelations of fire burning the wicked for three days (or something like that) and how parts of soviet vehicles were made from a compressed fiber material that burned for...three days! So that's a reason the apocalypse is near?

Moral: Someone is always finding evidence for THE END being right around the corner, and they've been doing it pretty much forever.

No doubt...down to about 5 billion years left for the earth. I walk the floor and wring my hands over the nearness of our planet's demise </sarcasm>

In a book I read to my class this week, an author said that scientists are predicting a huge asteroid will hit EARTH in like 9 yrs. I think. WOW- I never knew that. So shall we have all our fun now??? Anyone else ever hear that? He had to have it documented to put it in his book I would imagine.

It's always: the end is near!
Been like that for a couple hundred years at least.

The end is always near. And it never arrives.

Gives a whole new meaning to "worlds without end" in Mormon scripture.

I've been around for many a decade, so I'll emcee the Wheel of Apocalypse! Spin and see where it lands:

1959 Soviets bomb us (duck and cover kiddies)
1963 The Beatles are the 4 horsemen (with stinger guitars)
1963 JFK assassination (though JFK was evil to Mormons)
1967 Damned hippies!
1969 Moon landing (couldn't happen)
1970 Vietnam commie domino effect
1973 Oil crises (apocalypse by energy death)
1974 A comet, said to be Jesus riding on it
1975 Just seemed like a good year for the end of man
1976 Jimmy Carter had to be the last, and least Prez.
1977 Punk Rock
1978 Disco
1980 Planetary line up, gravity death
1985 Bloods and Crips gangs on the rise
1986 Floods in western US
1990s Various Middle East bombings
1999 666 if you look at it upside down and sideways
2000 Y2k for dummies
2008 Barrack Obama? c'mon!
2012 The primitive aborigines of meso-America, oh, forget it! If you're still watching by now, you need a hobby.

This one is complete with a Crucifixion even... Of course it's only Glen Beckhead with his usual do-it-yourself operation (like I said, probably using the same writers as Franklin Graham).

Graham, BTW, got the runner-up award here for another bit of psychotic droolings besides the one Quin mentioned... But yeah, verily I did see this with mine own eyes, and not my spiritual ones...

Let the hearts of the ignorant and uneducated be filled with terror for this is indeed a Second Coming--or perhaps a third or fourth--of the Great and Terrible Olbermann...

Thanks for the link, SL Cabbie. (The HufPo link did not work for me.)

Ahh... It's nice to hear the Great and Terrible Olbermann rant again.

Because nothing so great and terrible as AN EARTHQUAKE!!! has ever happened before right? People like this I think would be more comfortable in loincloths sacrificing virgins to every thunderstorm, pleading for favor of the almighty SUN GOD!!!!!
