This was on my facebook feed today. Tommy's problems at the podium during conference have become heartwarming faith promoters. The reason no one helped Monson while he made his downhill slide at the podium was because Uchdorf was at the edge of his ready to catch Tommy if he fell.

Also little kids reported seeing two angels on either side of Tommy as he spoke. Uchdorf was just the backup catcher so he must have noticed the angels, too.

I think he would have needed those angels. Dieter is ONLY 75, but I don't think he would have been able to catch Monson if he actually collapsed...I know I wouldn't have been able to catch him on my own, and I'm less than half his age. Even the attending angels weren't strong enough to keep Monson's nose above the microphone.

Only problem with that one drawing is that they have wings. Mormons don't believe in angels with wings. whoops
