Does anyone know why Arizona is having a state wide conference tomorrow? I've never heard of such a thing. My family was speculating what it's all about and one said it's probably because of the gay thing and added "But why should there be a conference for that since hasn't that always been the policy?"

Anyway, does anyone have any info about this or will any of you be attending?

I'm not sure. My family is going to their stake center and then watching a broadcast, I guess. So, I don't know where the main one is at.

It's all very strange. I wish somebody had some answers. Hopefully, there will be a post tomorrow by someone who attended.

It appears that it might be churchwide. I have several friends in the Midwest that say they are having multi-stake conferences today.

If so, then the church is scrambling. John Dehlin just undid years of PR for them by exposing their deep hatred of gays.

How are they going to lie to the sheeple now? Are they going to publicly embrace their hate, or are they going to keep trying this dance of public gentility and private harassment?

I received an email about this "Southwest area wide conference" a week ago, so it is not a response to the PR fiasco. I don't have the stomach to be around the church so I'm not there but will forward along what I hear from others.

Ok. I'm looking over all of the topics and not finding any post about what happened at the conference today. Maybe nothing interesting?
