IT IS FINISHED

Well, we did it. My husband and our two very young children have left the church TOGETHER. If you look at some of my posts from
a couple years ago, this is a huge deal. I sent our email yesterday, including all of us in the same email. I hope to hear something back soon, but I'm afraid it will get lost in the masses of other emails they are probably receiving.

So what happens next? Do I need to email our former bishop or will they let him know? Will I get a final letter saying it's done or will they drag this out?

Enjoying a glass of wine (or two) tonight.

I know. I sent my email but I don't know what's next either. I did request a confirmation. It would be nice to know the deed is done.

They will let him know.

It may take a while for him to get the word, and maybe even longer for him to contact you, but you are OUT! There is nothing else you need to confirm you are resigned other than your having sent that email.

After he contacts you and you confirm that you have indeed resigned you will get a form letter and maybe a pamphlet from the First Presidency inviting you back.

If you don't hear from him within a few weeks, you can follow up your email with a "What is going on?!?!" email and SLC will contact him and ask him that question.

Congratulations. You are done already.
