Just had a thought about the Second Annointing that had never occurred to

You can't get divorced.

If you get anointed to be a King (god?) on this earth and that wife of yours gets anointed to be your queen, then by god, you can't get divorced, can you?

How would that work?

You can't be a divorcée anytime and be a leader of any significance. Spiritual, serial polygamist = yes. Divorced serial polygamist = yes but never going to be a leader and will be "released" if you do divorce.

Observation. I challenge anyone to name a divorcée LDS leader above bishop. I almost said bish because I don't think that is allowed.

There are a whole lot of unwritten rules in Mormonism. Reading Tom Phillips stories confirmed that this comes from the top down.

Well we can all assume Brigham Young was second-anointed and we damn well know that at least one of his wives divorced him.

Also, I'm pretty sure that there were one or two who didn't bother with divorce, they simply poisoned his sorry ass.

Brigham Young also banned Blacks. He has been replaced by talking heads in suits with perfect lives and no divorced wives.
