Just a howdee shout.
You're the first person I've ever encountered who has actually read Herman Wouk's "City Boy"! I've loved that book for nearly 50 years!

Herbie Bookbinder's mother became a hero to me. It really is an important achievement, realizing that another person's opinion of you means nothing, unless you let it.

Did you read Aurora Dawn?

I cried like a baby when Brian found his son in London, after the war. That was in War and Remembrance.

I've read everything Wouk wrote.

Of course you cried like a baby......you are a baby.

Get some sleep my god if you hope to see tomorrow.

Wouk on.

I know I've read those books, but I can't remember them. My memory is so bad now. I read all Herman Wouk's books back in high school. My favorite besides War and Remembrance and the second one. I can't even remember the name of that book (it is stress related, my memory and drugs), but my 3rd favorite of his is "Marjorie Morningstar." I had forgotten about the ones you mention. I need to get them for my kids to read as they've read his others.

"Youngblood Hawke" ... I'd forgotten about this one and "Don't Stop the Carnival."
