A (very nice and non judgemental) LDS friend on FB shared Uchtdorf's recent post about the new Tijuana, MX temple. He is all decked out in a white suit, and the Mrs. is not. He looks like he believes he's a rock star. Nauseating.

I think it's a little funny that a church that has sent thousands upon thousands of missionaries to latin america, does not have the ability to conduct the temple dedication in Spanish.

It's a Church of old white men from Utah, some via Deutschland.

This is a new one to me. Do the apostles always dress in white at a temple opening? Sure seems to me like a way to loudly divide the blessed, the pure from the rest who are dressed in worldly colors, saying "Look and bow down to us who are as pure as the light streaming down from the heavens."

Also IMO, it seems like a way of almost desecrating the message they keep trying to instill as to the secret and sacred nature of the temple and what it stands for. I've also felt this way about the temple open houses which stand out to me as blatant attempts to sell more memberships.

From what I've seen in the weekly Morg church news and weekly Deseret news, they're always in white. I think it's been this way for decades....

I doubt Joseph Smith ever was decked out in a white suit or Brigham for that matter.
