Well, after 20 weeks, my daughter & husband decided to find out today, so they had a "gender reveal" party. At the doctors today, they had the doc seal the info in an envelope.

A friend opened the envelope and went to the store for cake & supplies. Later, 30 friends (mostly ward friends with several kids each) came over for the event.

At a given moment, everyone sprayed the family with silly string of the appropriate color: BLUE.

So it was at that moment that we found out it's a boy.

Such a strange way of doing things. But also kinda fun.

I REALLY hope now the grandpa birth control pills I've been taking will finally kick in!

I was given "PapaKen" by my kids when they realized there were 3 grandpas in the grandkids' lives. So "papa" actually means grandpa to them & to me.

*Seven* grandkids?? You have now officially fulfilled the commandment to "multiply and replenish the Earth."

I don't understand people who say they don't want to know the sex until the baby is born. I'd have given anything to have known. We didn't have that luxury back in the olden days. Would be nice to know what to plan on. They say it ruins the surprise. Hello. No matter when you find out it's going to be a surprise. So do something like this and have fun with it.
