This lengthy article appeared in today's Sunday Trib. It reports on the large numbers of people experiencing a crisis of faith. Truth be told, I view it more as an acceptance of reality than a crisis of anything, but that's a quibble over words.

And to answer the question in the title, no I don't think a stronger Mormon Church will emerge. Those who are not crazy enough to be Mormon (us, by and large) are leaving, and those too crazy to be Mormon (the various flavors of fundamentalists) are getting restive too. It's getting so Jeff Holland doesn't know who to scream at.

I think the article gave too much emphasis to the apologists, especially the apologists on race and Mormons, but that is an argument over editorial decision. The information is basically accurate IMHO.
