Do converts in Ghana or Nigeria have a sound awareness of the pre 1978 doctrine regarding negroes and the priesthood?Today, the church claims it does not know why the ban on negroes entering the priesthood was ever instituted in the first place and wants to sweep it under the carpet.Do black African converts from Africa know and just believe there was a good reason to bar negroes from temple marriages or do they genuinely not know this part of Mormon history?

First off I believe the more appropriate term is African. The most important thing about Mormonism. And this can not be stated in strong enough language.

If there is money to be made then Mormons do what is needed to be done to keep the money coming.

So a few changes are made in the marketing. A few changes are made in history. And "TADA" A group of people largely cut off from a democratic society stand in line for something they've been promised and out the back door they are being looted.

My point is this Mormons do not tolerate individuals or people that are "different". But Mormons will always figure out a way if Money is involved.

The folks in South Africa have no clue. Trust me.

It's fine to differentiate between black and white Africans. Much of South Africa and Namibia is white. Most of North Africa is white. A percentage of Kenya and some other East Africa countries is white.

The answer is no. That information is close-hold and not made available as a rule to the black population by white LDS authorities. The LDS leaders offer it only reluctantly when directly approached, and then you get the ol' spin.
