In case anyone missed this....

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TAt4Od0teNg

At 2mins 55secs she says...

"When we’re desperate to have more money, we eagerly follow the Lord’s law of finances—which is, of course, tithing!

Consider President George Q. Cannon’s approach to tithing when he was an impoverished young man. When his bishop commented on the large amount of tithing poor young George was paying, George said something like: “Oh bishop, I’m not paying tithing on what I make. I’m paying tithing on what I want to make.” And the very next year George earned exactly the amount of money he had paid tithing on the year before!"

This is exactly the holy principle I relied on in buying condoms... lots and lots of condoms!

But it reportedly worked for George Q. Cannon.

The Lord's law of finances?

I'm sure glad I don't talk to these people anymore.

I guess she's never read the Biblical passage that the LOVE of money is the root of all evil. Interesting how this concept applies to Mormonism. Boner.

When we’re desperate to enter the celestial kingdom, we eagerly follow the Lord’s instructions which are, of course, handshakes!

Oh god, that bitch needs to get laid. Obviously Doc Nelson is too old for Viagra to do any good anymore. So she's so up tight she squeaks.

Wendy Nelson is seriously awful.

Have you guys heard about her book(s)? One of them (well, probably all of them) is a mormon one and it is marketed towards children. I think it explains concepts about sinning and repentance, and maybe even explores things like modestly, but it goes about it in such a shameful, mormony way that amongst anyone but a hardcore TBM it would be the subject of derision and ridicule. I also heard she was a psychologist or therapist or something at BYU. If so, she's a TERRIBLE one.

I just looked it up: The "Not Even Once Club." Awful.

And I'm sure she'd love people to start paying tithing based on 'What they'd like to be earning'. Dumbass. Why don't I just fork over my entire paycheck into your greedy, chubby fat-fingered hands you zealots? Hell, 10 percent of your gross (which isn't what tithing was meant to be AT ALL when the church started, which I'm sure most people here know) isn't enough, we'd prefer more. And then, when you're older and living social security paycheck to paycheck, go ahead and do more free service for us by serving successive Senior LDS missions. I just read an article by none other than this shrew's husband, Russel M. Nelson, in the Ensign, encouraging Seniors to set aside 'important events like baby blessings and grandchildren's birthdays' and serving a senior mission- at your expense of course- instead.

My uncle- a very talented architect who built bridges for decades after serving in the military- Just went on a 3 year mission with his diabetic, grossly overweight wife (my aunt), thousands of miles from home in a country with a dubious healthcare system so he can help build the temple in Concepcion, Chile (I think). God forbid the church pays it's architects. This shit pisses me off so much if I got cut someone would get sprayed with boiling blood.

A brief comment about Mormon Nepotism- I realized when I was looking at some of the past Church Primary/Young Women/Relief Society Presidencies, that nearly all members were related to old-generation Mormons. Most people didn't notice because they married men who had last names that were different, and obviously started using that name. But I guarantee you, if you look at the list, nearly all the members of the presidency will be daughters, sisters, sometimes even wives, of General Authorities past/present, apostles, and church prophets past/present. I realized this when I noticed that a past counselor in the relief society presidency was a relative of Monson (I think.)

And then of course the nepotism among males is even worse, just look at Ballard, and Gordo Hinckley and him calling his son to be a 70, and Packer's son being a GA. Jesus.

Just shows how GREEDY and dangerous this cult really is and how they don't care who's lives they destroy as long as the money rolls in.

Some vulnerable TBM's will likely react on this talk and end up in financial difficulty following Wendy Nelson's advice for those who are desperate for Mormoney.

When they realise later they are not earning 10 times more than they paid prior, but actually in bigger financial shortfall/ruin, they will blame themselves for falling short somewhere else in obedience.

If church members are 'desperate' for money, shouldn't the church be helping them out rather than asking them to pay even more?

Greedy Bast**ds.

This cult is a pyramid scheme where the promised ROI never has to materialize here on Earth.

All they have to do to keep raking it in is talk, talk, talk, which is the actual product being sold.

They program a free sales force, and entice with cheap colleges, because they can't have all that BICness going down the drain at schools where escape might be had, via lack of constant programming.

Then, they keep you busy, busy, busy, and keep talk, talk, talking, all so your head can never be still enough to think about what you give, give, give.

If you ever wake up, you are the infection of lucidity that they cannot afford. They must flush you from the system, lest the infection spread. No one celebrates their sorrow more than the leaders, when an apostate takes his or her own life.

O/T - Maybe waking up is the "real" evil in coffee. Numbing drugs - what a bonanza for TSCC. Surgical alterations signal conformity, where double earrings signal rebellion.

I think that Wendy's sharing of that particular story is disingenuous. No rational person could possibly justify that story. What it tells me is that she has completely sold out. She is willing to say anything and do anything to support the Mormon church because it has financially paid off for her to do so. How nice for her. As far as I'm concerned she is a lying, immoral individual.
