This study makes no mention of Utah's dominant religion. And, comments notice.

http://www.sltrib.com/news/4075258-155/utah-officials-unsure-why-youth-suicide

"Yeah, we here at the Department of Health, we're just not sure."
"Well what about this Prop 8 business? That probably hurt a lot of closet LGBT youth."
"No, no, you see it's probably the elevation. Or maybe the guns. Yeah. The guns. But we need guns."
"Yeah, but the elevation was the same in 2007 and guns have always been a big deal. Maybe it's additional pressure for the youth to believe something that Google can readily disprove in about 5 minutes?"
"Whatever, that makes no sense. It's the video games. Oh, and porn. Definitely porn."
"Kids have been looking at porn since photography was born. Maybe this new obsession over it could be creating some depression issues?"
"Nah, it's totally the elevation thing. Or maybe bullies!"
"Why are you not addressing any of the obvious issues and instead creating red herrings."
"Because that's what we do."

Utah, a pretty great state.

This sad statistic mirrors the dehumanizing antics of Mormonism, the evil empire of the inter mountain west.

Yep. But the leaders of this study ignore the elephant in the room-mormonism. Denver has higher altitudes, guns, social pressures, etc. but mormons don't dominate like Utah. Anyone reading this, from other states, could make the mormon connection.

Utah needs a youth escape program. Sounds like a joke, but much of Utah, especially small Mormon towns, must be hell for anyone who is different in any way since the church officially declared war on gays with its recent actions. It probably doesn't help when they see some of their more liberal Mormon friends refusing to walk away from or help them escape the church that condemns them. Instead they try to "fix" it, like a wife trying to "fix" an abusive husband so that he won't beat their kids anymore.

To be frank, it's the mothers that keep Mormonism going. The same Mormonism that rips their hearts out. If Dieters mama told him to STFU and fly right, he would.

But the mothers keep silent & toe the line or get discarded. Otherwise, they won't be able to get into heaven without a priesthood holder. You know the cult is strong when they can get mothers to promote harmful behavior towards their children.

Please. It is brainwashing, BITE, whatever you want to call it. They have become willing to sacrifice a percentage of their offspring at the Great Volcano Sainthooditis, see the burning pit, and hope it won't be them.

Talk about devil worship. This lot plays the part better than ever. Not being a believer makes seeing the insanity so much easier.

Joe invites you to join him in his volcano. Yeah. The one that killed him.

State law requires all teachers to undergo --two hours-- of training about youth suicide prevention, and Utah lawmakers in 2013 required the state office of education to hire a full-time suicide prevention coordinator.

Two WHOLE HOURS? I cannot concur with their findings. Unfortunately I am not in a position where I can go public with my reasoning. These people are gone, bonkers, flipped out, round the bend.

Since 2008? It must be Obama's fault.

Or maybe it's because more 18 and 19 year olds are staying home instead of killing themselves in Iraq.
