A group of fringe people on my FB page seems to think that the recent Doctrinal Mastery program means that their children can now attend school in the churches during the week and that secular and religious education will be combined. They are just giddy over the prospect. I read the LDS.org article and it all seems so Orwellian. Eeew!

I'm assuming that the kids will also learn who to make their own clothing.

Way way back in the day, I subjected my kids to a year of LDS private school. Although it has given us a few good laughs in recent years, it was an absolute and total disaster school year. This is the worst possible idea and really should be illegal. One gigantic step backwards and so detrimental to children.

"Doctrinal Mastery" as defined by LDS, Inc.:

Shut up, don't question, and parrot the demonstrably false fantasies we stuff in your head.

Congratulations, you're a Doctrinal Master. Oh, and you don't need those "secular" school classes either, all they do is teach you to think (how abhorrent!).

Sigh.
