Considering the abject poverty polygamy forced people to live in (and many "Mormon fundamentalists" still do). It's about families, my aunt Isabelle... Ask modern Mormon women how many of them would like to share a husband...

And I wanted to shake my head at that use of the present tense, "Jesse N. Smith is a first cousin to LDS Church Founder Joseph Smith."
Plus, if Michael Kennedy is the first JS descendant to hold the Melchezidek Prieshood, that means there aren't many JS descendants who are Latter-day Saints.
