This guy is a Nazi Mormon. Sundays mean that you don't do anything except read, listen to church music, or go to meetings.

So my wife was talking about Game of Thrones to her daughter, which is his wife, while he was at work. She mentioned how good the acting was, but so violent and almost at the soft-porn level. Our daughter responded, "Oh I'm sure there is no nudity, because John watches it, and there is no way he would watch something with nudity". My wife told her that there was much nudity in it, and left it at that.

I'm not sure what kind of confrontation this couple had in there marital conversation that evening, but I'm thinking that John isn't watching Game of Thrones anymore. He was busted.

It is amazing to me how many Mormon's watch Game of Thrones. Some of them secretly :) .

Maybe John watches it on a SLC station that has sanitized and deleted all the "nasty" scenes.

That might make the show a little hard to follow.

Most sanitized versions of real life ARE hard to follow! Who believes in that?

Yeah, my brother has to watch it and several other shows in secret because his wife forbids it (he'd read the books long before the show). On one hand, he's a full-grown adult, watch what you want. But on the other hand, he's willfully letting religion, and thus his spouse, treat him like a naughty child.
